I was granted the opportunity to preview the new Disney Treasure ship, and it was an experience that will never be forgotten. It was an unparalleled experience and magic that you cannot get anywhere else. Here’s what made it so special.
From the moment we stepped aboard the Disney Treasure, we were greeted with a grand welcome that set the tone for the entire journey. The ship's design is an exquisite blend of classic elegance and modern innovation, creating an atmosphere that is both luxurious and magical. On my voyage, Aladdin and Jasmine greeted us, which added a fun touch to the start of the trip.
As we explored the ship, we found unique Disney touches around every corner, from the intricate décor inspired by beloved Disney stories to the friendly cast members who go above and beyond to ensure your experience is nothing short of enchanting.
One of the highlights of the Disney Treasure is its spectacular Broadway-caliber shows. I know you've seen shows on other cruise lines, even some great ones, but nothing can come close to the shows we saw on board. Each performance was a dazzling display of talent, featuring elaborate sets, stunning costumes, and captivating storytelling that brings Disney's iconic characters and stories to life. We were able to see three shows: Beauty and the Beast, Disney: The Tale of Moana, and Disney Seas the Adventure. These shows were beyond amazing and garnered standing ovations from the crowd.
Whether you're watching a musical adaptation of a classic Disney film or an original production exclusive to the cruise, these shows promise to wow everyone in the audience no matter what age and leave you in awe and filled with wonder.
The Disney Treasure offers a wide range of interactive entertainment options designed to delight guests of all ages. From character meet-and-greets and themed parties to hands-on activities and immersive experiences, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The sheer number of activities and entertainment on board are second to none. The character pirate show and fireworks display are must-see. The Aqua Mouse water coaster (that we rode twice in a row) is some of the most fun you can have on the ship; with a cartoon custom-made for the experience, you are sure to have some water-soaked thrills on this one!
Kids can join in on treasure hunts and creative workshops, while adults and families can partake in trivia contests, cooking classes, and more. The ship's innovative use of technology and imaginative programming ensures that every moment is filled with fun and excitement.
Dining aboard the Disney Treasure is an adventure in itself, with themed restaurants that offer a unique and magical culinary experience. Each restaurant is meticulously designed to transport guests to different worlds, with menus that feature a variety of delicious and creatively presented dishes. We were able to enjoy dinner at the three themed restaurants on board. There is the 1923 restaurant that invokes the two Disney brothers, Walt and Roy, and their vision, the Plaza De Coco, which brings the flair and music of the film Coco to life, and the World of Marvel, where you can test your knowledge of all things Marvel with interactive trivia and a great show.
The food on the pool deck was delicious as well. It was the Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods, which was reminiscent of 1920s/30s state fair styler. There was BBQ, cantina-style, pizza, and classic hot dogs and burgers. The breakfast and lunch buffet, the Marceline Market, was top tier, with everything you could want, including the famous Mickey waffles.
From gourmet meals inspired by Disney films to casual eateries with playful atmospheres, the dining options on the Disney Treasure cater to all tastes and preferences. Every meal is a chance to savor the magic and indulge in culinary delights.
The Disney Treasure offers exclusive adult-only venues that provide a touch of elegance and tranquility. These areas are designed to offer a peaceful retreat where adults can relax and unwind. You have the Senses Spa, which offers every relaxation amenity you can think of, and the very well-crafted gym with all the equipment you need to stay fit while enjoying the food onboard, but the themed bars and lounges are where you really can get away as an adult.
The Haunted Mansion-themed lounge is a must-see. With effects taken right from the ride, this will excite anyone with a taste for a fun and spooky atmosphere. The Skipper Society is a lounge themed after the Jungle Cruise and brings all the hidden easter eggs and details from the long-standing attraction to life. The Periscope Pub is inspired by the classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, bringing an old-school pub feel to the ship.
From chic lounges and upscale bars to intimate dining options and serene spa facilities, these venues offer a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the ship. Whether enjoying a quiet cocktail with a sea view or indulging in a rejuvenating spa treatment, these adult-only spaces promise to enhance your Disney Treasure journey.
