AI Tip: ChatGPT now shows up without you opening it

Set a weekly client-trip briefing that runs itself

Complexity Level: ✈️✈️ (5-15 minutes, one quick setup)

ChatGPT redesigned its Scheduled Tasks feature in June 2026, and the new part is worth knowing about: you can tell ChatGPT to do something on a recurring schedule, and it runs the task and sends you the result automatically. You do not have to remember to open it.

This is starting to get toward true agentic AI work, but in an easy-mode sort of way.

Available on Plus ($20/mo), Pro ($100+/mo), and Business plans. You will find it by clicking your profile icon, then "Scheduled tasks," or just tell ChatGPT in a regular conversation: "Schedule this for me every Monday at 8 AM."

The number of active scheduled tasks you can have varies by plan.

Three Scheduled Task ideas to start with

1. Weekly client-trip briefing.

“Every Monday at 8 AM, check for travel advisories, weather alerts, airline disruptions, strikes, major events, and entry requirement changes for my clients’ upcoming destinations: [CUSTOMIZE THIS: list your clients' upcoming destinations or destinations you routinely sell]. Summarize anything I should know and suggest which clients may need a proactive note.”

2. Weekly Supplier Promotion Scan.

“Every Friday at 3 PM, search for new supplier promotions, cruise offers, resort specials, and tour operator updates relevant to family travel, luxury travel, and Europe. Summarize the best opportunities I could share with clients. Prioritize these travel suppliers: [INSERT YOUR LIST OF TOP SUPPLIERS].”

3. Weekly business dashboard reflection

“Every Friday at 3 PM, ask me to paste or upload this week’s sales, leads, bookings, and commissions. Then help me identify what moved the business forward, what stalled, and what I should focus on next week.”

A few things to know: scheduled tasks can search the web, so the results include current advisories and news. You can pause, edit, or delete any task from the Scheduled Tasks page. If a task does not run (rare), it shows as missed so you can rerun it.

Try this today: If you have a qualifying ChatGPT subscription, set up one recurring task from the above list or create your own and see what shows up next week.
