Is WorldVia Travel Network an MLM?

No. WorldVia Travel Network is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) company. WorldVia Travel Network operates as a traditional host agency and travel network for independent travel advisors.

Advisors earn commission from travel they personally sell to their own clients. There is no recruitment requirement, no mandatory downline structure, and no compensation earned from recruiting other advisors into the network.

Some advisors on Team or Enterprise plans may choose to add associate advisors (sub-agents) as part of running their own travel agency business. In those cases, associate advisors earn commission on their own travel sales. This is a standard travel agency structure and not a multi-level marketing model.

WorldVia Travel Network’s business model is centered on supporting travel advisors through education, technology, supplier partnerships, marketing support, and operational infrastructure—not recruitment-based income.

What is WorldVia Travel Network’s commission split?

WorldVia Travel Network offers commission splits ranging from 70% to 95%, depending on the advisor’s membership plan.

The Individual plan starts at 70% commission and is available for $9 per month. Higher-tier plans, including Growth, Team, and Enterprise, provide access to higher commission splits, with opportunities up to 95% based on plan level.

WorldVia Travel Network pays commissions weekly by direct deposit after supplier commissions are received and processed.

This is a one-time fee paid at signup. There are no recurring activation fees. Ongoing monthly costs depend on the membership plan selected.

Members also receive ongoing support from the Member Success team and the WorldVia Travel Network advisor community.

All WorldVia Travel Network members have access to AIVIA, the network’s AI-powered platform built specifically to support travel advisors with business, marketing, planning, and productivity needs.

What does WorldVia Travel Network’s Individual plan require?

WorldVia Travel Network’s Individual plan allows you to join as an independent contractor without forming a business entity.

To complete enrollment, Individual plan members are required to:

  • Upload a completed W-9
  • Submit a photo for facial verification
  • Complete the purchase and onboarding steps provided after signup

A business entity, such as an LLC or S-Corp, is not required for the Individual plan. However, advisors may want to consult a tax or legal professional to determine whether forming an LLC or S-Corp would provide additional tax, liability or business-structure benefits.

If you later upgrade from the Individual plan to the Growth, Team, or Enterprise plan, you will need to provide a registered business entity at that time.

After completing your purchase through the WorldVia Travel Network website, you will receive an email with next steps for onboarding.

What do the WorldVia Travel Network Growth, Team, and Enterprise plans require?

WorldVia Travel Network’s Growth, Team, and Enterprise plans require a registered business entity, such as an LLC or S-Corp.

To activate one of these plans, you will need to provide:

A criminal background check is also completed before the account is activated.

To complete activation, you will need to create your legal entity if you have not already done so, upload your business formation documents, obtain and upload your EIN Letter of Issuance from the IRS, and complete the required DocuSign documents.

Once your documents are uploaded and your launchpad checklist is complete, WorldVia Travel Network will run the criminal background check. You will receive an activation email when your account is fully active.

How do I obtain an LLC and EIN to join WorldVia Travel Network?

To join WorldVia Travel Network’s Growth, Team, or Enterprise plans, you need a registered legal business entity, typically an LLC or S-Corp, and an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS.

To form an LLC, register your business entity with your state’s Secretary of State or equivalent state business office. Once approved, you should receive formation documents, such as Articles of Organization or a Certificate of Organization, which you will upload during the WorldVia Travel Network signup process. The U.S. Small Business Administration provides general guidance on choosing and registering a business structure.

After your entity is formed, apply for an EIN directly through the IRS. The IRS online EIN application is free, and the IRS notes that you do not need to pay a third-party service to obtain an EIN. Once approved, you will receive an EIN confirmation letter showing your EIN and company name. This is the document you will upload during WorldVia Travel Network onboarding.

The cost per associate advisor varies by plan tier. Current WorldVia Travel Network members are not eligible to become associate advisors under another WorldVia Travel Network member’s account.

Associate advisor access is designed for agency owners who want to grow a team while keeping their agency operations, advisor support, and commission activity organized under one business structure.

When and how does WorldVia Travel Network pay commissions?

WorldVia Travel Network pays advisor commissions weekly by direct deposit.

After a client travels, the supplier pays WorldVia Travel Network. Once the supplier commission is received and processed, WorldVia Travel Network distributes the advisor’s portion based on the advisor’s membership plan and commission split, which ranges from 70% to 95% depending on plan tier and eligibility.

Advisors enter their travel sales into the WorldVia Travel Network Commission Manager tool after booking. This helps ensure sales are tracked, processed, and paid accurately once supplier commissions are received.

What happens to my commissions if I leave WorldVia Travel Network?

WorldVia Travel Network continues to pay commissions earned on eligible bookings made during your active membership, even if you later leave the network.

If a booking was made while you were an active WorldVia Travel Network member, your commission will be paid after the client travels and the supplier remits payment to WorldVia Travel Network. Commission timing still depends on when the supplier pays.

You earn the commission on travel you sold during your membership. There is no commission forfeiture or clawback simply because you end your membership with WorldVia Travel Network.
