AI Tip: Travel Advisor Content Calendar Skill

The most useful thing AI can do for your marketing may not be writing the content. It may be deciding what to create.

Complexity Level: ✈️✈️✈️ (20 minutes the first time. About five minutes each month after that.)

The industry keeps telling travel advisors to use AI to write blog posts, emails, and social captions. But most advisors I talk to aren't stuck on the writing.

They are stuck on the deciding.

What should I post today? What will people care about? Should I write about a destination, a client question, a promotion, or something personal?

That daily decision has a cost. Eventually, you skip a day. Then a week. Then you publish four things in a panic and decide content marketing does not work.

So I built a reusable Skill for travel advisors to create a customized mothly content calendar that removes the daily decision.

First, What Is a Skill?

A Skill is a reusable set of instructions you save in Claude or ChatGPT once.

This one is called content-calendar.

After you save it, you can simply say:

Help me build next month’s content calendar.

The Skill takes it from there.

What It Does

It walks you through six areas, one question at a time:

Your niche. It pushes you to get specific. “Luxury travel” is broad. “Multi-generational Disney trips for families traveling with a grandparent” gives it something useful to work with.

Your goal. New inquiries, past-client engagement, filling a group, or building authority all require different content.

Your channels. It focuses on the two or three platforms you actually use.

Your real capacity. It asks how much time you have during a normal week, then builds a calendar you can realistically finish.

Current research. It looks at what travelers are searching for, what is trending in your niche, and what has changed with suppliers.

The calendar. You receive 30 dated ideas with a working title, format, channel, and call to action.

You can also give it your website or Instagram handle. It will review your existing content and take a first pass at your niche and voice before asking questions.

Sometimes seeing how AI interprets your business is useful on its own.

The Parts That Matter Most

It does not ask you to create 30 separate blog posts.

Instead, it builds four anchor pieces and turns each one into smaller social posts, emails, pins, or videos.

You are creating four strong ideas, not 30 unrelated ones.

It also avoids blindly chasing trends. A trend only earns a place if you can sell it, have something meaningful to say, and still have time to participate.

The calendar balances content designed to reach people, build trust, and ask for the business.

Because all reach builds an audience that may never book. All selling makes people stop listening.

A Note About Niches

Choosing a niche does not mean turning away every client who falls outside it.

Especially early in your business, take the work. Those clients pay the bills and help you discover what you are good at.

The purpose of a niche is not to limit who you serve.

It is to make your marketing clear enough that the right people recognize themselves in it.

The Month-Two Advantage

The first run takes about 20 minutes.

At the end, the Skill creates an Advisor Content Profile with your niche, voice, channels, goals, and available time.

Save it inside a Claude Project.

Next month, it can skip most of the interview, perform fresh research, and build a new calendar in about five minutes.

That is what turns this from an interesting AI exercise into a repeatable habit.
